DHAKA: Bangladesh Bank (BB) has issued an order to all the government and private banks to keep their main braches at divisional and district towns open on Saturday (November 29).

Deputy General Manager of Department of Off-Site Supervision Division of the central bank Ashim Kumar Majumder issued the order on Tuesday.

The central said the banks should be kept open on November 29 so that tax payers can pay their taxes through pay orders and treasury chalan.

The order also asked the banks to pay reasonable allowances to the officials who would perform duties on the day.
