DHAKA: Sayeman, a popular landmark of Cox’s Bazar, has recently opened a new chapter with launching a five star beach front hotel named Sayeman Beach Resort at Marine Drive in Cox’s Bazar.

Civil Aviation and Tourism minister Rashed Khan Menon and Public Works and Housing minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain jointly inaugurated the resort as chief guest and special guest respectively.

About 500 dignitaries, business elites, guests and members of the media were invited to attend the grand opening which started with ribbon cutting ceremony, animated beach laser show, fire spinning and grand fireworks.

“Sayeman has always been the brand of choice for holiday-goers at Cox’s Bazar in late 60s till early 90s. We want to bring that glory back with our newly developed modern beach hotel and make Sayeman the brand of choice once again,” said Mahboob Rahman, Managing Director of Sayeman Beach Resort Limited.

Popular music band, Miles performed at the Marina Ballroom of the hotel for guests followed by the speeches.

The Marina Ballroom can host up to 700 guests and the hotel has five different sizes of hall rooms and meeting rooms that can be catered to corporate events.

The new Sayeman Beach Resort is owned and operated by the third-generation business family that owned Hotel Sayeman since 1964.
