DHAKA: Bangladesh Bank (BB), the central bank of the country, fixed Tk 20 as the charge for using ATM both of other banks from February 1.

A gazette notification, signed by General Manager of BB Payment System Department KM Abdul Wadud, made the disclosure on Tuesday.

The notification says that if the clients of a bank withdraw money from a different one then Tk 20 will be charged to the beneficiaries.

On the other hand, Tk 5 will be charged for balance check and mini statement service.

The service provider bank will get the money as a bank charge.

However, Tk 15 will be deducted from the client’s account and rest of the money will be paid by the card issuing bank in the case of money withdrawal.
