Ban on cargo flights at Shahjalal relaxed

DHAKA: Australia decided to allow cargo flights from Bangladesh after those are rescanned from a third country.

Civil aviation and tourism minister Rashed Khan Menon disclosed the matter in a press briefing at his secretariat office in city on Monday afternoon (May 9).

He further said the Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Greg Wilcock, sent a letter in this regard on May 5.

Earlier on December 19 last year, Australia banned air cargo from Bangladesh due to “security concerns”.
