Wednesday’s bourses see mixed amid choppy trading

DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed mixed trend in share prices indices on Wednesday (June 1), the fourth trading session of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of DSE, gained over 2.40 points or 0.05 percent to stand at 4421.79 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 96,617 with transaction at over Tk 3,580.77 million. Of the issues traded, 136 advanced, 127 declined while 53 remain unchanged.

Titas Gas Transmission & Dist. Co. Ltd topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 195.75 million having changed hands on the day.

Meanwhile, the CSE experienced loss of share prices as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 3.58 points to stand at 8283.76.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 96 advanced, 105 declined while 32 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 250.88 million.
