US-Bangla Airlines to bring out in-flight magazine

DHAKA: One of the leading private airliners in Bangladesh, US-Bangla Airlines will bring out their own in-flight magazine – ‘Blue Sky’ from July 1.

Interface Communications, a leading in-flight entertainment content developer and supplier of the country will publish the quarterly on behalf of the airliner.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect was signed between the two organizations on May 26 at the Corporate Head Office of US-Bangla Airlines.

US Bangla Airlines managing director Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun and Interface Communications chief executive officer Md. Zunaid Hossain signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.

Speaking on the occasion, Abdullah Al Mamun said, ‘I am delighted to announce the publication of our own in-flight magazine, as we have just launched our first international flight to Kathmandu on May 15, within less than two years since beginning our operations in the domestic sky of Bangladesh’.

‘Within this short period, the airlines has not only become the most preferred domestic airline in Bangladesh, but also has won the most coveted Domestic Airline of the Year-2015 Award, by the Bangladesh Monitor.’

‘The award has greatly boosted our morale and inspired us to reach newer heights.’

Congratulating the airliner on achieving Domestic Airline of the Year award, Zunaid Hussain expressed his happiness over being associated with the airlines through publishing their in-flight magazine, which he assured, would be of high quality and of international standards.

He further informed that contents of the colorful magazine will include information on the award winning airline, articles on history, culture, heritage and tourist attractions of Bangladesh.

Besides, domestic and international destinations of the airline will also be highlighted in the magazine.

The function, among other was attended by Dilruba Parvin, Deputy Managing Director and Kamrul Islam, Deputy General Manager of US Bangla Airlines.
