DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain in share prices indices on Thursday (May 29), the last trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of DSE, gained over 15.22 points or 0.34 percent to stand at 4485.48 points at 12:07am.

Trade deals stood at 27,093 with transaction at over Tk 1168.87 million. Of the issues traded, 145 advanced, 80 declined while 71 remained unchanged.

Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 156.53 million having changed hands till then.

The CSE also followed the trend as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 21.37 points to stand at 8352.89 till 12:09.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 88 advanced, 59 declined while 52 remained unchanged.

The total value of exchange was over Tk 92.80 million.
