DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gain on Tuesday (July 12), the third trading session of the week.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, gained over 39.53 points and 0.87 percent to stand at 4544.70 at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 93,352 with transaction at Tk 3941.12 million.

Of the issues traded, 203 advanced, 71 declined and 49 remained unchanged.

ACI Formulations Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 191.91 million having changed hands on the day.

Other toppers of the market were ACME Laboratories Limited, The Islami Bank, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Aman Feed, BRAC Bank Ltd, Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd, MJL Bangladesh Limited, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited and Orion Infusion Ltd.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index, gained 52.31 points to stand at 8467.05 on the day.

Out of the issues traded, 142 gained, 72 declined and 39 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 220.30 million.
