DHAKA: The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) witnessed a slightly negative tendency in share price indices while the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed gain on Thursday (July 14), the fifth and final trading session of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 0.16 points or 0.003 percent to stand at 4537.91 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 97,681 with transaction at over Tk 4503.20 million. Of the issues traded, 136 advanced, 133 declined and 54 remained unchanged on the day.

The ACME Laboratories Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 391.78 million having changed hands at DSE.

Among the other toppers were Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd., Delta Brac Housing Finance Corp. Ltd., MJL Bangladesh Limited, ACI Formulations Limited, Islami Bank, Olympic Industries, Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd., Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and Quasem Drycells.

On the other hand, Chittagong Stock Exchange witnessed inflation, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 13.19 points to stand at 8484.71 points.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 108 gained, 99 declined and 45 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 238.77 million.
