DHAKA: The two bourses of the country – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing loss in share price indices at the opening hours on Thursday (July 28).

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 2.17 points and 0.04 percent to stand at 4536.03 at 12:17pm.

Trade deals stood at 39,985 with transaction at Tk 1467.47 million.

Of the issues traded, 103 advanced, 131 declined and 74 remained unchanged.

Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 102.44 million having changed hands till then.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of CSE climbed down to 8496.44 by dropping over 10.23 points till 12:10pm.

Out of the issues traded, 198 gained, 65 declined and 91 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 74.54 million.
