DHAKA: Share price indices at Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) are witnessing minor gain at the opening hours on Tuesday (August 23) while loss at Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE).

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 0.90 points or 0.01 percent to stand at 4578.75 points at 12:09pm.

Trade deals stood at 48,866 with transaction at over Tk 2464.41 million. Of the issues traded, 171 advanced, 96 declined and 70 remained unchanged.

BRAC Bank Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 177.06 million having changed hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), however, saw loss in the opening hours, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 6.45 points to stand at 8547.04 points at 12:10pm.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 82 gained, 76 declined and 40 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 81.56 million.
