DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain in share prices indices on Sunday (September 4), the first trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of DSE, gained over 3.53 points or 0.07 percent to stand at 4552.57 points at 12:30am.

Trade deals stood at 49,125 with transaction at over Tk 2298.661 million. Of the issues traded, 110 advanced, 131 declined while 69 remained unchanged.

Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 408.01 million having changed hands till then.

The CSE also followed the trend as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 1.59 points to stand at 8504.09 till 12:26 am.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 77 advanced, 77 declined while 41 remained unchanged.

The total value of exchange was over Tk 113.76 million.
