DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday (September 6).

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gain over 4.66 points or 0.10 percent to stand at 4568.35 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 104,213 with transaction at over Tk 4758.57 million. Of the issues traded, 140 advanced, 112 declined and 58 remained unchanged.

The Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 264.61 million having changed hands on the day.

Other toppers of the market were Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, Singer Bangladesh Limited, Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd., Al-Haj Textile Mills Limited, MJL Bangladesh Limited, The ACME Laboratories Limited, National Tubes Limited and Bangladesh Shipping Corporation.

Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 13.73 points to stand at 8549.08 points on the day.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 99 gained, 88 declined and 40 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 227.65 million.
