DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday (September 20).

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gain over 12.95 points or 0.28 percent to stand at 4639.13 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 111,666 with transaction at over Tk 5360.63 million. Of the issues traded, 155 advanced, 116 declined and 50 remained unchanged.

The Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 372.10 million having changed hands on the day.

Other toppers of the market were The ACME Laboratories Limited, Singer Bangladesh Limited, Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd., Bangladesh Shipping Corporation, Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd., Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited, Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, MJL Bangladesh Limited and National Tubes Limited.

Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 31.12 points to stand at 8688.22 points on the day.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 129 gained, 80 declined and 37 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 295.32 million.
