DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gain on Monday (September 26), the second trading day of the week.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, gained over 10.55 points and 0.22 percent to stand at 4683.99 at the end of trading.

Trade deals stood at 129,291 with transaction at Tk 5529.33 million.

Of the issues traded, 175 advanced, 103 declined and 44 remained unchanged.

LankaBangla Finance Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 186.31 million having changed hands on the day.

The other toppers are Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited, Bangladesh Shipping Corporation, Far Chemical Industries Limited, Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, MJL Bangladesh Limited, Miracle Industries Ltd., Yeakin Polymer Limited, National Tubes Limited and Tosrifa Industries Limited.

Chittagong stocks also followed the trend, as CSCX, the prime index, gained 40.27 points to stand at 8766.03.

Out of the issues traded, 137 gained, 77 declined and 43 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 354.54 million.
