DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain in the opening hours on Tuesday (September 27), the third trading session of the week.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, gained over 1.40 points and 0.03 percent to stand at 4685.39 at 12:46pm.

Trade deals stood at 69,306 with transaction at Tk 2900.32 million.

Of the issues traded, 121 advanced, 152 declined and 44 remained unchanged.

Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 169.09 million having changed hands till then.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of CSE, gained 5.22 points to stand at 8771.25 at 12:45pm.

Out of the issues traded, 94 gained, 86 declined and 37 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 167.49 million.
