DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain in the opening hours on Thursday (September 29), the last trading session of the week.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, gained over 10.40 points and 0.22 percent to stand at 4685.39 at 12:04pm.

Trade deals stood at 42,940 with transaction at Tk 2547.33 million.

Of the issues traded, 173 advanced, 78 declined and 50 remained unchanged.

City Bank Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 150.52 million having changed hands till then.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of CSE, gained 21.08 points to stand at 8783.28 at 11:55am.

Out of the issues traded, 106 gained, 46 declined and 32 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 85.66 million.
