DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing deflation in the opening hours on Sunday (October 2), the first trading session of the week.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 7.28 points and 0.15 percent to stand at 4687.90 at 12:42pm.
Trade deals stood at 64,343 with transaction at Tk 2851.97 million.
Of the issues traded, 134 advanced, 124 declined and 59 remained unchanged.
MJL Bangladesh Limited. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 123.73 million having changed hands till then.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of CSE, lost 18.58 points to stand at 8767.26 at 12:53pm.
Out of the issues traded, 95 gained, 82 declined and 30 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 172,822,778.90.
