DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gain on Monday (October 3), the second trading session of the week.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, acquired over 0.20 points and 0.004 percent to stand at 4691.13 at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 129,469 with a transaction of Tk 5969.77 million.
Of the issues traded, 113 advanced, 161 declined and 51 remained unchanged.
MJL Bangladesh Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 247.30 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market include BSRM Steels Limited, Jamuna Oil Company Ltd., Bangladesh Shipping Corporation, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Active Fine Chemicals Ltd., Yeakin Polymer Ltd., Singer Bangladesh Ltd., Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd., and Industrial Promotion and Development Company of BD Ltd.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of CSE, gained 13.14 points to stand at 8779.98 on the day.
Out of the issues traded, 95 gained, 129 declined and 31 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 326.64 million.
