DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gain on Tuesday (October 4), the third trading session of the week.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, acquired over 17.65 points and 0.37 percent to stand at 4708.78 at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 121,575 with a transaction of Tk 5623.26 million.
Of the issues traded, 134 advanced, 136 declined and 54 remained unchanged.
MJL Bangladesh Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 194.73 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market include Singer Bangladesh Ltd., Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd., Titas Gas Ltd., BSRM Steels Limited, Grameenphone, Jamuna Oil Company Ltd., Bangladesh Shipping Corporation and GBB Power Ltd.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of CSE, gained 29.67 points to stand at 8809.66 on the day.
Out of the issues traded, 95 gained, 117 declined and 37 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 330.04 million.
