DINAJPUR: Export and import activities between Bangladesh and India through Hili land port has closed for eight days from October 6 (Thursday) due to the occasion of Durga Puja.
However, the passengers’ movement between the two neighboring countries will remain normal.
Bangla Hili Customs C & F Agents Association secretary Shahinur Islam told Banglanews that India’s Hili exporters and customs clearing agents association has taken a decision to keep export and activities closed for eight days due to Durga Puja celebration.
The export-Import activities will resume on October 15 (Saturday), he added.
However, Hili immigration check-post in-charge Rafiquzzaman said passport holding tourists of Bangladesh and India could travel through the port.
