DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- are witnessing loss in share price indices at the opening hours on Sunday (October 9), the first trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 24.57 points or 0.52 percent to stand at 4699.15 points at 11:26am.
Trade deals stood at 31,133 with transaction at over Tk 1622.94 million. Of the issues traded, 61 advanced, 160 declined and 47 remained unchanged.
Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 391.88 million having changed hands till then.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 39.36 points to stand at 8795.72 points till 11:23pm.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 36 gained, 73 declined and 30 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 89:56million.
