DHAKA: The two bourses of the country – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed consecutive loss in share price indices on Monday (October 10), the second trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 9.31 points or 0.19 percent to stand at 4689.31 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 99,962 with transaction at over Tk 4486.10 million. Of the issues traded, 95 advanced, 177 declined and 49 remained unchanged.
Summit Power Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 366.71 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Singer Bangladesh Limited, National Bank Ltd., Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd., Bangladesh Shipping Corporation, The ACME Laboratories Limited, BSRM Steels Limited, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Titas Gas Transmission & Dist. Co. Ltd. and Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 19.13 points to stand at 8773.44 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 70 gained, 138 declined and 33 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 269.79 million.
