DHAKA: The two bourses of the country – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gain in share prices indices on Thursday (October 13), the last trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of DSE, gained over 11.99 points or 0.25 percent to stand at 4701.31 points at the end of days trading.
Trade deals stood at 89,691 with transaction at over Tk 4079.19 million. Of the issues traded, 134 advanced, 130 declined while 58 remained unchanged.
Summit Power Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 253.04 million having changed hands till then.
The other toppers are BRAC Bank Ltd., MJL Bangladesh Limited, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, National Housing Fin. and Inv. Ltd., Titas Gas Transmission & Dist. Co. Ltd., Singer Bangladesh Limited, Gemini Sea Food Ltd., Jamuna Oil Company Limited and GSP Finance Company (Bangladesh) Limited.
The CSE also followed the trend as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 13.86 points to stand at 8787.30.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 92 advanced, 93 declined while 43 remained unchanged.
The total value of exchange was over Tk 208.32 million.
