DHAKA: The two bourses of the country – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday (October 18).
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 18.91 points or 0.40 percent to stand at 4711.85 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 121,042 with transaction over Tk 5715.91 million. Of the issues traded, 177 advanced, 98 declined and 48 remained unchanged.
Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 132.27 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Singer Bangladesh Limited, National Bank Ltd., Titas Gas Transmission & Dist. Co. Ltd., Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd., IT Consultants Limited, GSP Finance Company (Bangladesh) Limited, LankaBangla Finance Ltd., Union Capital Limited and Mutual Trust Bank Ltd.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 48.08 points to stand at 8805.59 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 142 gained, 75 declined and 36 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 316.61 million.
