DHAKA: The two bourses of the country – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain in share price indices in the early hours on Sunday (October 23), the first trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 4.93 points or 0.10 percent to stand at 4697.36 points at 12:24 pm.
Trade deals stood at 60,131 with a transaction over Tk 2684.61 million. Of the issues traded, 137 advanced, 134 declined and 40 remained unchanged.
Doreen Power topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 399.09 million having changed hands till then.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also following the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, acquired over 7.74 points to stand at 8771.14 points at 12:21 pm.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 106 gained, 83 declined and 18 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 176.66 million.
