DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Sunday (October 23), on the first day of the trade week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 0.56 points or 0.01 percent to stand at 4693.00 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 133,383 with transaction over Tk 5673.93 million. Of the issues traded, 130 advanced, 161 declined and 35 remained unchanged.
The Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 519.71 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were IT Consultants Limited, MJL Bangladesh Limited, SAIF Powertec Limited, Mozaffar Hossain Spinning Mills Ltd., National Bank Ltd., Grameenphone Ltd., Fortune Shoes Limited, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, and Titas Gas Transmission & Dist. Co. Ltd.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 4.79 points to stand at 8768.18 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 120 gained, 114 declined and 17 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 382.13 million.
