Wasif Ali Khan, MA Wadud new AMDs of NBL

DHAKA: Two National Bank Limited (NBL) officials Wasif Ali Khan and MA Wadud have been promoted as additional managing directors (AMD) of the bank.

A press release, issued by the public limited bank of Bangladesh on Wednesday (October 26), informed about the promotion.

Earlier, both Wasif Ali Khan and MA Wadud worked as deputy managing directors (DMD) of NBL.

Wasif obtained his MSc with Honors in Applied Physics and Electronics from University of Rajshahi.

He started his banking career as assistant officer (probationary) with NBL in 1984.

He also worked as manager of different branches from 1997 to 2006 and as CEO of Gulf Overseas Exchange Company LLC, Oman, a subsidiary money transfer company of NBL, from 2006 to 2010.

Wasif also worked as regional head of Rajshahi and Chittagong for a long time.

On the other hand, Wadud obtained his MA with Honors in Economics from University of Dhaka.

He started his banking career probationary officer with AB Bank Limited in 1984 and held important positions in various capacities before moving to National Bank Limited in 2010.

During their 31 years of banking career, Wasif and Wadud attended a number of training courses, workshops and seminars on different aspects of banking at home and abroad.

Both of them are widely travelled persons, the release added.
