DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed loss in share price indices on Sunday (October 30), the first trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 31.14 points or 0.67 percent to stand at 4605.08 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 115,500 with transaction over Tk 4571.66 million. Of the issues traded, 91 advanced, 191 declined and 42 remained unchanged.
Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 376.32 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Khulna Power Company Limited, MJL Bangladesh Limited, Fortune Shoes Limited, IFAD Autos Limited, JMI Syringes & Medical Devices Ltd., KDS Accessories Limited, Titas Gas Transmission & Dist. Co. Ltd., National Tubes Limited and Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 62.14 points to stand at 8613.21 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 67 gained, 149 declined and 14 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 380.82 million.
