DHAKA: Investors witnessed fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange on Monday (October 31).
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 12.91 points and 0.28 percent to stand at 4592.17 at the end of the day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 97,740 with transaction at Tk 3890.03 million.
Of the issues traded, 122 advanced, 161 declined and 38 remained unchanged.
The Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 271.74 million having changed hands.
The other toppers are MJL Bangladesh Limited, Argon Denims Limited, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Fortune Shoes Limited, Bd.Thai Aluminium Ltd., Shasha Denims Limited, Titas Gas Transmission & Dist. Co. Ltd., Appollo Ispat Complex Limited and National Tubes Limited.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, s CSCX, the prime index, climbing down to 8605.10 by dropping over 8.10 points.
Out of the issues traded, 111 gained, 108 declined and 26 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 254.65 million.
