DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday (November 1).
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 4.68 points or 0.10 percent to stand at 4596.86 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 99,922 with transaction over Tk 3769.66 million. Of the issues traded, 121 advanced, 151 declined and 52 remained unchanged.
The Quasem Drycells Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 152.49 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, MJL Bangladesh Limited, Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., Fortune Shoes Limited, Confidence Cement Ltd., First Security Islami Bank Limited, Argon Denims Limited, Mithun Knitting and Dyeing Ltd. and KDS Accessories Limited.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 2.95 points to stand at 8608.06 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 95 gained, 109 declined and 33 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 265.47 million.
