DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Wednesday (November 2), the fourth trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 36.32 points or 0.79 percent to stand at 4633.18 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 109,199 with transaction over Tk 4570.44 million. Of the issues traded, 218 advanced, 67 declined and 39 remained unchanged.
Brac Bank topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 214.33 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market include Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, Orion Infusion Ltd., Confidence Cement Ltd., Argon Denims Limited, Mithun Knitting and Dyeing Ltd., MJL Bangladesh Limited, The Peninsula Chittagong Limited, Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd. and Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 47.53 points to stand at 8655.60 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 156 gained, 57 declined and 27 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 285.41 million.
