DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Thursday (November 3), the last trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gain over 39.68 points or 0.85 percent to stand at 4672.87 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 115,916 with transaction at over Tk 5037.47 million. Of the issues traded, 191 advanced, 86 declined and 44 remained unchanged.
The lafarge surma cement ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 277.65 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were BRAC Bank Ltd., Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, Titas Gas Transmission & Dist. Co. Ltd., Shasha Denims Limited, Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited, First Security Islami Bank Limited, United Power Generation & Distribution Company Ltd. and Apex Footwear Limited.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 68.85 points to stand at 8724.45 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 129 gained, 66 declined and 41 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 307.33 million.
