Markets see up at opening

DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- are witnessing gain in share price indices in the opening hours on Monday (November 7), the second trading session of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), acquired over 24.34 points or 0.52 percent to stand at 4696.74 points at 12:22 pm.

Trade deals stood at 67,220 with transaction at over Tk 3145.53 million. Of the issues traded, 173 advanced, 84 declined and 55 remained unchanged.

Doreen Power Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 190.95 million having changed hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), also followed the suit as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse gained over 37.16 points to stand at 8769.24 points at 12:18 pm.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 106 gained, 55 declined and 24 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 151.06 million.
