DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gain on Monday (November 7), the second trading day of the week.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, gained over 16.78 points and 0.35 percent to stand at 4689.18 at the end of trading.
Trade deals stood at 137,688 with transaction at Tk 6339.16 million.
Of the issues traded, 144 advanced, 125 declined and 52 remained unchanged.
Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 281.08 million having changed hands on the day.
The other toppers are Confidence Cement Ltd., Shasha Denims Limited, Shasha Denims Limited, BRAC Bank Ltd., Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Beacon Pharmaceuticals Limited, Quasem Drycells Ltd., United Power Generation & Distribution Company Ltd., MJL Bangladesh Limited and Khulna Power Company Limited.
Chittagong stocks also followed the trend, as CSCX, the prime index, gained 18.00 points to stand at 8750.09.
Out of the issues traded, 109 gained, 97 declined and 30 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 345.67 million.
