DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday (November 8).
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 1.88 points or 0.04 percent to stand at 4691.06 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 136,952 with transaction over Tk 6437.00 million. Of the issues traded, 112 advanced, 151 declined and 58 remained unchanged.
The Confidence Cement Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 504.76 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, Shasha Denims Limited, Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd., SAIF Powertec Limited, MJL Bangladesh Limited, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., Quasem Drycells Ltd. and Argon Denims Limited.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 15.43 points to stand at 8765.52 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 91 gained, 121 declined and 43 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 371.99 million.
