DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Thursday (November 10), the last trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gain over 5.87 points or 0.12 percent to stand at 4677.13 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 131,669 with transaction at over Tk 6459.59 million. Of the issues traded, 135 advanced, 130 declined and 55 remained unchanged.
The Apex Footwear Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 328.51 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Confidence Cement Ltd., Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., Shasha Denims Limited, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Eastern Housing Limited, Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, Jamuna Oil Company Limited, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited and MJL Bangladesh Limited.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 11.29 points to stand at 8752.98 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 85 gained, 111 declined and 48 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 330.04 million.
