DHAKA: US-Bangla Airlines, country’s leading premium airline, launched its second international destination, Muscat, one of the most important cities of the middle-eastern region, from Friday (November 11).
The flight left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka for Muscat, the capital city of Oman, at 10:45 pm with 158 passengers in the newly added Boeing 737-800 aircraft, says a press release, issued by the airline.
A prayer was conducted before the flight took-off. US-Bangla Airlines’ managing director Mohammed Abdullah Al Mamun along with other high ups of the company attended the prayer.
Keeping the record of flight time in mind, the flight for Muscat left in the accurate mentioned time.
Henceforth, four flights from Dhaka and two flights from Chittagong will be operated weekly in this route, the release added.
The minimum one-way fare in Dhaka-Muscat route has been fixed at TK 20,565 and return fare Tk 38,607 while the minimum fare for one-way in the Chittagong-Muscat route has been fixed at Tk 23,685 and return fare Tk 40,551 including all taxes and surcharges.
Two flights will be operated for Muscat route every Sunday and Friday at 10:45 pm and the other two flights on Tuesday and Thursday at 8:45 pm and will reach there within 2:00 pm, local time.
There will also be two flights which will be operated weekly at 10:15 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday for Chittagong-Muscat route and will reach there at 2:00 pm, local time.
The flight will start for Dhaka from Muscat at 3:00 pm, local time on Wednesday and Friday and will reach Dhaka within 9:20 am. And on Monday and Saturday, the flight will leave Muscat for Chittagong at 3:00 pm and will reach Chittagong at 9:50 am and will land in Dhaka at 11:20 am.
With 158-seater Boeing 737-800 aircraft the flights in Dhaka-Muscat-Chittagong route will be operated.
There are eight business-class and 150 premium economy and economy seats in the newly added Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The release also said that US-Bangla Airlines will be operating in Kolkata, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Guangzhou, Doha route within a very short time.
Currently US-Bangla Airlines owns five aircraft in its fleet -- two are Boeing 737-800 and three Dash8- Q400. Another 737-800 aircraft will be added in fleet within this year, the company mentioned.
