DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed loss on Sunday (November 13), the first trading session of week.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, lost over 9.93 points and 0.21 percent to stand at 4667.19 at the end of day’s exchange.
Trade deals stood at 134,242 with transaction at Tk 5646.31 million.
Of the issues traded, 106 advanced, 169 declined and 46 remained unchanged.
The MJL Bangladesh Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 141.23 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Shasha Denims Limited, Navana CNG Limited, The Peninsula Chittagong Limited, Quasem Drycells Ltd., Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, Eastern Housing Limited and Bd.Thai Aluminium Ltd.
Chittagong stocks also followed the trend, as CSCX, the prime index, came down to 8750.77 by 2.20 points on the day.
Out of the issues traded, 93 gained, 115 declined and 31 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 366.72 million.
