DHAKA: Investors witnessed fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange- on Monday (November 14).

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 22.20 points and 0.47 percent to stand at 4644.98 at the end of the day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 136,837 with transaction at Tk 6441.19 million.

Of the issues traded, 84 advanced, 189 declined and 48 remained unchanged.

The Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 390.24 million having changed hands.

The other toppers are Confidence Cement Ltd., Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd., Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, The ACME Laboratories Limited, National Tubes Limited, Shasha Denims Limited, Golden Harvest Agro Industries Ltd., Eastern Housing Limited and Fortune Shoes Limited.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, s CSCX, the prime index, climbing down to 8701.81 by dropping over 48.95 points.

Out of the issues traded, 66 gained, 136 declined and 40 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 413.50 million.
