DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday (November 15).
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 19.81 points or 0.42 percent to stand at 4664.80 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 140,002 with transaction over Tk 6465.67 million. Of the issues traded, 167 advanced, 110 declined and 42 remained unchanged.
The Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 335.17 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Shasha Denims Limited, Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, National Tubes Limited, Quasem Drycells Ltd., Bd.Thai Aluminium Ltd., Golden Harvest Agro Industries Ltd., Eastern Housing Limited and Confidence Cement Ltd.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 22.00 points to stand at 8723.82 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 116 gained, 92 declined and 34 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 403.43 million.
