DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Wednesday (November 16), the fourth trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 11.94 points or 0.25 percent to stand at 4676.75 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 132,382 with transaction over Tk 6071.55 million. Of the issues traded, 156 advanced, 121 declined and 41 remained unchanged.
Shasha Denims Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 237.37 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market include Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., Quasem Drycells Ltd., Golden Harvest Agro Industries Ltd., The ACME Laboratories Ltd., Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Orion Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Eastern Housing Limited, Bangladesh Thai Aluminium Ltd., and First Security Islami Bank Limited.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, acquired over 35.55 points to stand at 8759.38 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 130 gained, 78 declined and 39 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 358.37 million.
