DHAKA: The two bourses of the country – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gain in share prices indices on Thursday (November 17), the last trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of DSE, gained over 21.78 points or 0.46 percent to stand at 4698.54 points at the end of days trading.
Trade deals stood at 128,725 with transaction at over Tk 6281.64 million. Of the issues traded, 138 advanced, 106 declined while 49 remained unchanged.
AB Bank Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 254.16 million having changed hands till then.
The other toppers are Grameenphone Ltd., Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., Quasem Drycells Ltd., RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) Limited, RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) Limited, Shasha Denims Limited, Golden Harvest Agro Industries Ltd., Fortune Shoes Limited, Ratanpur Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited and Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
The CSE also followed the trend as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 46.36 points to stand at 8805.74.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 117 advanced, 83 declined while 31 remained unchanged.
The total value of exchange was over Tk 378.42 million.
