Markets see rise at opening hours

DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- are witnessing gain in share price indices in the opening hours on Sunday (November 20), the first trading session of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), acquired over 15.78 points or 0.33 percent to stand at 4714.33 points at 11:30 am.

Trade deals stood at 34,221 with the transaction at over Tk 1546.52 million. Of the issues traded, 130 advanced, 71 declined and 66 remained unchanged.

AB Bank topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 138.62 million having changed hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), also followed the trend as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse gained over 20.98 points to stand at 8826.72 points at 11:27 am.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 65 gained, 50 declined and 17 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 112.06 million.
