DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Sunday (November 20), on the first day of the trade week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 23.44 points or 0.49 percent to stand at 4721.98 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 130,927 with transaction over Tk 5737.14 million. Of the issues traded, 158 advanced, 107 declined and 46 remained unchanged.
The AB Bank Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 224.84 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Quasem Drycells Ltd., National Tea Company Ltd., Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., Mithun Knitting and Dyeing Ltd., Dragon Sweater and Spinning Limited, Shasha Denims Limited, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Grameenphone Ltd. and Bangladesh Export Import Company Ltd.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 41.69 points to stand at 8847.43 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 124 gained, 85 declined and 29 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 404.61million.
