DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday (November 22).
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 28.80 points or 0.61 percent to stand at 4750.20 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 135,624 with transaction over Tk 6559.58 million. Of the issues traded, 176 advanced, 97 declined and 46 remained unchanged.
The British American Tobacco bangladesh Company Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 259.02 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were AB Bank Limited, Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., CMC Kamal Textile Mills Ltd., Grameenphone Ltd., Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Golden Harvest Agro Industries Ltd., Fortune Shoes Limited, Dragon Sweater and Spinning Limited and Quasem Drycells Ltd.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 44.09 points to stand at 8893.35 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 125 gained, 85 declined and 39 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 367.75 million.
