DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain in share price indices in the opening hour on Thursday (November 24), on the fifth and final day of the trade week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 19.00 points or 0.39 percent to stand at 4784.36 points at 13:36 pm.
Trade deals stood at 95,616 with a transaction over Tk 4471.14 million. Of the issues traded, 169 advanced, 109 declined and 39 remained unchanged.
The Doreen Power Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 196.36 million having changed hands till then.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 19.07 points to stand at 8948.47 points till 13:36 pm.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 127 gained, 86 declined and 28 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 293.24 million.
