DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gain on Monday (November 28), the second trading day of the week.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, gained over 11.07 points and 0.23 percent to stand at 4797.64 at the end of trading.

Trade deals stood at 155,757 with transaction at Tk 7480.87 million.

Of the issues traded, 173 advanced, 112 declined and 36 remained unchanged.

Bangladesh Export Import Company Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 233.28 million having changed hands on the day.

The other toppers are Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, Quasem Drycells Ltd., AB Bank Limited, Confidence Cement Ltd., Olympic Accessories Limited, National Tubes Limited, Summit Alliance Port Limited and Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

Chittagong stocks also followed the trend, as CSCX, the prime index, gained 26.70 points to stand at 8984.14.

Out of the issues traded, 252 gained, 141 declined and 80 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 414.51 million.
