DHAKA: LankaBangla Securities, the leading securities company of the country, successfully closed the issuance of Non-Convertible Zero Coupon Bond worth Tk 480-million in an event held at Le Méridien Dhaka on 27 November (Sunday).
The initiative is the first of its kind for a brokerage house in Bangladesh, says press release issued by the company.
High officials and other dignitaries of the capital market attended the function.
Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) chairman Justice Siddiqur Rahman Miah attended the program as the chief guest and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) Chairman Dr. Muhammad Abdul Mazid was the Special Guest.
Justice Siddiqur Rahman highly appreciated the initiative and also encouraged other financial institutions to venture into 'zero coupon bond'.
He also mentioned that such initiative will propel the growth of capital market and make the market robust and healthy.
DSE Managing Director KAM Majedur Rahman, and CSE Managing Director M Shaifur Rahman Mazumdar FCA FCMA were also present in the event along with LankaBangla Group Chairman Mohammad A. Moyeen, Managing Director Mohammed Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director Khwaja Shahriar, CEO Mohammad Khairul Anam Chowdhury and LankaBangla Investments Limited CEO Khandakar Kayes Hasan.
LankaBangla Investments Limited is the issue manager and arranger of the non-convertible zero coupon bond and Green Delta Insurance Company Limited is the registrar & trustee.
