DHAKA: Investors witnessed rise in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange- on Wednesday (November 30).
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 7.93 points and 0.16 percent to stand at 4801.24 at the opening.
Trade deals stood at 142,139 with transaction at Tk 6305.85 million.
Of the issues traded, 131 advanced, 135 declined and 51 remained unchanged.
The Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 213.42 million having changed hands.
Other toppers of the market were Golden Harvest Agro Industries Ltd., Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., Orion Pharma Ltd., Quasem Drycells Ltd., Fortune Shoes Limited, Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, National Tubes Limited, RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) Limited and Olympic Accessories Limited.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, CSCX, the prime index, climbing up to 8987.74 by dropping over 0.26 points.
Out of the issues traded, 96 gained, 118 declined and 38 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 394.92 million.
